Stacey emerged onto the Nashville scene, virtually out of nowhere, in 2009 as he began working on his upcoming album “Millennium Blues” with producer David Norris at Norrisong Productions. With elements of rock, Americana, blues, and country, Blood pulls it all together into a musical face that you can start to recognize again. From Fort Worth, TX, Stacey Blood charges into oblivion as a post-apocalyptic, free-form poet. Blood’s unique blend of distorted southern-declaration-bounce-psychedelic-retro sexual-flare is very rare in today’s musical landscape. “Music for me is like an exhale. You take in all this life, the good and the bad. Breathe it all in because, well, you have to. I guess everyone has their way of releasing it if they’re lucky. With me I just crystallize it into songs and let it out. It’s something to hear your own story like that. Some people lay on a couch for therapy, I write songs. That may be trite or whatever but it’s just true.”
Blood is also the son of legendary Hollywood trumpeter Bobby Blood, most visibly known for his work in the early 70′s with R&B powerhouse group Sylvester and the Hot Band.
