Like the butterfly, Revival Underground represents rebirth. Conceived in 2009 by producer David Norris and recording artist Stacey Blood, Revival Underground plants it’s roots in the East Nashville, TN. Formed more for fun, RU has turned into a haven for original, quality artists of all genres to develop and get their music known. The result is a tight-nit core of artists all with the same mission who support each other at every turn. “It’s a shelter”, says RU producer David Norris. “You know there are great artists out there? Nothing has changed. People still make great music, know that. What doesn’t exist any longer is a vehicle to deliver them to the people. That’s why we’re here… to bring these artists together someway, somehow. Get it out there. Change the face of music. Pretty simple.”
Revival Underground is a group with many moving parts. From singer/songwriters to producers, to writers, to players, RU recognizes talent. The result is atmosphere. “There’s something goin’ on in East Nashville. And it’s not just here, it’s everywhere” says Stacey Blood. “But I think this is the epicenter of something special. The next great music won’t come from the radio. It won’t come from the front page of MySpace. It won’t come from an ivory tower in Hollywood. It’s gonna happen in your streets. This is real America and the real world.”
